Day 1: Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mafia Island Experience

Your adventure begins early in the morning with hotel pick-up in Zanzibar and transfer to the Stone Town Ferry Terminal for your journey to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, our driver will transfer you directly to Julius Nyerere International Airport (Domestic Terminal) for your flight to Mafia Island.

After landing at Mafia Island Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a delicious local Tanzanian lunch with refreshing soft drinks before starting the Kilindoni City Tour & Flying Foxes Excursion. Explore the local market, discover the island culture and daily life of Kilindoni town, and visit the famous Flying Foxes colony, home to the giant fruit bats of Mafia Island.

After the tour, return to the hotel for relaxation and overnight stay while preparing for the next day’s whale shark adventure.

Day 2: Whale Shark Adventure – Return to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, head out into the Indian Ocean for the unforgettable Whale Shark Adventure. Accompanied by experienced local guides, you will search for and swim alongside the magnificent whale sharks in the warm waters surrounding Mafia Island. Snorkeling equipment is fully provided.

Following the excursion, return to the hotel for checkout before transferring back to Mafia Island Airport for your afternoon flight to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, connect to your flight back to Zanzibar where our driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
